Can anyone help me find out what type of stain is applied to verical stampings? The websites selling the stain seem to imply it's acrylic based, but is it
easily available in hardware stores under some other guise? I live in Australia so is'nt so easy or cheap to get it from the US.

I was considering doing some cinder block interior walls. I was going to do a finer mist splatter to the walls to build slightly then trowel down pretty smooth to hide the mortar joints and to give me a good base to roll on micro finish and then wet sponge sand.
