Masonry brick fireplace, uneven bricks - not flat. Brushed thin finish "skim coat" on, let dry, rewet and brushed TF bond coat / hawk troweled Texture Pave over it. Three bags of texture pave to bring it flush, a coat of thin finish on top to smooth it out, and a coat of micro on top of that. The TP & TF were sanded with a polisher and resin bond pad before next coat, the micro was wet sponged instead of sanded. All PC charcoal color, tried to make every coat same color. Sealed with CSS and then Citro furnature polish (by Spartan Chemical) was sprayed on and buffed with polisher (helps with gloss and repels dust). The lower mantel was actually a piece of 1.5" black slate that was ground down and coated in the same manner as the wall - but w/ no TP required.
