Thats great..... floor looks nice. My Grandfather use to build o-dome style homes in the northern Michigan area. Didn't go too well for him. What was the process you used? Again, nice work. Brian

We applied 2 base coats of Thin-Finish with 2/3 oz of Chocolate. We then applied 1 coat of Micro-Finish with 2/3 oz of Chocolate and then 1 coat of Micro-Finish with 1 1/3 oz of Chocolate. We were happy with how it turned out.

We used 2 coats CSS 1 to 1. I just have not had an opportunity to play around with either PT1 or AUS enough yet. I did read on a thread where you go with PT1 indoors as much as you can. I was wondering what your reasons for that are?
As far as the colors for that house, I don't think I even took pictures of the blue room and the purple room . . . not sure what the home owner is thinking. |

my hats off to you for a floor that smooth....two coats of CSS that looks like high build epoxy. takes a very smooth floor to do that. did you snap that shot when the CSS was still wet?
i use epoxy inside because allying it takes less than two hours start to finish and it's done, no smell, and it's like glass even if your floor isn't the smoothest - troweled thin finish for example. long term gloss retention and abrasion resistance with PT1 or AUS is superior to CSS. floor will still look great 10 years down the road even if not maintained at a high level. but CSS is great for residential flooring too, especially if maintained with floor finish or wax. |

ecom, thanks for the info. Like I said, I just have not had enough exposure to applying PT1, so I haven't done it yet. I did recently purchase a pail so I'll experiment with it. The pics here show me what you mean. I think yurconis is one of your guys and his work looks pretty amazing.
As far as when the pic was taken, that was after the 3rd coat of floor finish. |

exactly...that's a textured tuscan trowel finish, pretty rough, yet the PT1 smooths it right out.
yes yurconis is my best customer, both volume and quality of work. he's so good matrixtech just moved down here from Traverse City to work with him, and matrixtech himself has no other equal...so the work you'll be seeing out of Abstract Concrete in the future should be absolutely amazing, even for his standards. The church floor I put them on most recently is one of the coolest I've seen. Stay tuned. |
