I like it. How did you apply the epoxy? Does wax stick to the epoxy finish okay? How long did you wait between coats? How long did the job take? Was that actually the price per foot?

Ecom, I notice you color formula is very unique. I am still trying to standardize my colors over here. Could you tell me the recipe for a few of your favorites?

Seriously ray... It looks great. How exactly do you apply your epoxy? It looks thick enough to require a guage rake, but that would've scratched the surface. What's the secret?

Thanks Freak.
How we apply epoxy: PT 1 is dumped out of the bucket immediately after mixing in corn rows across the room. We use a black foam squeegee (wet n dry) to spread the PT1 across the floor, and then roll both ways once with a 3/16 roller (two guys, wearing spikes). We're done touching it 18 minutes after it's mixed. First application is at 50 sqft per gallon, very thick. 18-20 hours after that, we were making saw cuts, and the second coat of pt1 went down w/in 24 hours...same method, but at 100 sqft / gal. Polyurea went down 24 hours after that. Polyurea requires you to pour out the material in a few large piles, then use the squeege to push the large mass of material, like a skim coat. Don't corn row it like the PT1 - it's too thick, like pancake syrup, and doesn't spread with a squeegee unless you're pushing a lot of material. Only back roll once with moe hair roller, you need to be done touching it 12-15 minutes after it's mixed....the sooner the better. This job was priced at $17 / sqft. $2 for prep, and $15 for the finish. 450 sqft. Two bedrooms and hall in between and out to foyer. More pics to come - with furnishings. This job's time line: Day 1: Remove carpet and grind floor Day 2: Acid/Ammonia/Rinse/Skimcoat, pour & stamp 1/3 of area Day 3: pour & stamp Stamp 1/3 area Day 4: pour & stamp Stamp 1/3 area Day 5: Stain Day 6: Dry Day (3 fans running on it for almost 48 hours) Day 7: PT1 first coat Day 8: saw cut, grout, PT1 second coat Day 9: Polyurea Day 10: Wax / Moppable Floor Finish |

Thanks for the info.
Why do you cut lines after the first coat of PT1, rather than before? |

My guess on the pt1 before sawcut would be because he grouted it. Cleans up easy.

I can see that. I'm not used to epoxy. With CSS or AUS I cut, seal, grout, reseal. He would have filled in the cuts with epoxy.
