use a little pcc color in the mix & ultra stone over the top, mostly 3:1 mix....except for the stamp job.....

Kajun,
I have a rather unique (very sandy looking) approach to splattering because I never did like that big bloopy knarly look. In your gallery, down at the bottom of the page, the tiles with brown grout lines and almost antique white tiles: What water ratio do you use in your mix, what air pressure do you generally use and then you just run the trowel over it lightly to smooth parts and leave others "textured?" It just looks like a really, really nice compromise to the big gloopy stuff and my sandy-look. It's really beautiful. |
