TF stencilled overlay sprayed on 1100 sq.ft. of driveway retaining wall. Nice house in upscale neighborhood, but concrete contractor did a terrible job on the retaining wall. Customer wanted something nice to match the limestone block on the house. Radiant heat under driveway to melt snow so I didn't need a clause in the contract to cover damage from snow plow.

They chose the same color -- limestone -- for both the grout and the block. The brown pattern that you see in a couple of the pictures is the actual stencil. When it was removed, it just revealed the same limestone color beneath.

I used a little less than "limestone", which is one ounce of palamino portion control. One ounce is two tablespoons, and I used one tablespoon, so basically about 1/2 ounce.
But to keep the TF from running, to get a grainier look, and to be able to build successive coats without waiting forever, I only used about 5 3/4 quarts of water per bag of TF. I also had to spray as high as 85-90 psi to get a uniform texture. |
